So, are you ready?
Do you want to see my Wave?
Oh, go on then!
Here it is, and I love it! I think I said previously it is done in Stylecraft Special Aran. Yes it is acrylic, but it is so soft, warm and snuggly so I don't care.
Lovely coastal colours, Parchment, Cream, Lemon, Aspen, Meadow, Aster and Denim.
A little border action!
I was going to do a wavy border but then thought it would be too much so I just did a plain one with rows of dc and treble.
Oh it's just delicious!
Overload of photos maybe? Nah, I don't think so!
Do you want to know the best bit of all? I sent the first pic to older son and he said,
'Looks quite good actually!! Good pattern'
I almost fainted! Did you read that Ana 'Good pattern' that is praise indeed from older son!
Phew three posts in one day, there's value for you. I have more in the pipeline too, so watch this space! :-)
Hi Rowen, what a gorgeous blanket and no, definitely not overload,it deserves all the pics to show it off in all it's glory ! Stylecraft is wonderful isn't it ? Especially for big stuff like blankets, such a fab range of colours to choose from.....I particularly love Denim and Parchment together.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter to you, I hope you are seeing some spring sunshine where you are.Carole C x
Hi Carole, Happy Easter! Yes lovely and sunny here which is lovely after the cold winds! I love the colour range in Stylecraft, watch this space for a new project I'm starting soon! Thanks for your comments on my Wave blanket, it's a lovely pattern I think. Rowen x
DeleteI LOVE, LOVE your blanket! The colours your chose really take us to the ocean shore. I love the border too; it really frames it. So beautiful. Congratulations, Rowen!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the mention ;-)
Thank you so much Ana, I'm so glad you like it and that you think I did it justice. You're more than welcome for he mention, credit where it is due :-)
DeleteThanks for dropping by, Rowen x
I am so glad I came across your blog. I have been wanting to start a blanket but couldn't decide what pattern to use. You have inspired me! I can't wait to start my "Wave." I live in Seattle, Washington where we are surrounded by waves.
ReplyDeleteHi Caroline, I'm so pleased you like the Wave blanket I think you will really enjoy doing it. I will definitely do another one at some point. I do love living on the coast I'm not quite as close to the water as Tom Hanks' characters house in the film though :-) Thanks for visiting and leaving a comment I hope you come back soon. Rowen x
DeletePS The inspiration is all from Ana at Lanas de Ana :-)
